Peekaboo Barn was Ellie's first iPhone app addiction. From the very first time she played it, she loved it. We started with the Lite version, which is very playable, and then quickly purchased the Full version for $1.99. (Buy it here from iTunes.)The game centers around a barn. It bounces, and you hear an animal sound. When you tap the barn, it opens, and you see the animal, hear the sound again, and see & hear the name of the animal. (You can configure most of these details, including having the names in Spanish.)
Ellie doesn't like to guess the animal just from the sound yet. She just likes to tap tap tap and make the barn open, and then make the sound with the animal. As she gets older, I bet she will start guessing and making it more of a game. By then maybe it will be time to switch to Spanish!
